After setting a new program standard for single-game goals with 23 on Saturday (March 22), Ashland University's women's lacrosse team nearly matched that total in a 22-7 win at Thomas More on Thursday (March 27) night.
The Eagles maintain their spot atop the Great Midwest Athletic Conference at 7-4 overall and 3-0 in the league thanks to a fourth straight victory, a stretch during which AU has scored a total of 81 goals. The Saints are 0-10, 0-1.
As has been the case of late, Ashland's high-powered offense has been spread out. On Thursday, nine different Eagles scored at least one goal, and four – junior attacker
Ashley Fisher (four assists, eight points), sophomore attacker
Ashley Drexler (three assists, seven points), freshman attacker
Tori Wanat (one assist, five points), and junior attacker
Carlie Wilson – scored four goals each.

- Of AU's 22 goals on Thursday, 17 were assisted.
- Junior goalkeeper Annie Duncan won after saving seven shots in the first half.
- Ashland had a 34-17 shots advantage, while forcing a school-record 29 Saints turnovers. It is the third time in 2025 the Eagles have set a new single-game record for turnovers forced.
