In the 2025 Great Midwest Athletic Conference women's tennis preseason coaches poll, revealed on Thursday (Feb. 13) afternoon, Ashland University is in the No. 6 slot in the 10-team circuit.
The Eagles received 51 voting points. Tiffin is the favorite to win the league title with five first-place votes and 87 voting points, Findlay is close behind in second with three first-place votes and 85 voting points, and Northwood is third with one first-place vote and 76 voting points.
In 2023-24, Ashland's women finished 14-9 overall and 4-5 in the Great Midwest, and qualified for the conference tournament.
The Eagles, guided by second-year head coach
Eric Gibson, were 2-0 in the fall. The spring will begin on Saturday (Feb. 15) at 1:30 p.m. vs. John Carroll in nearby Wooster, Ohio.
