To begin a four-game road swing, the No. 16-ranked Ashland University women's basketball team lost 83-67 at No. RV Indiana (Pa.) on Wednesday (Nov. 19) night.

The Eagles are 1-2 on the young 2025-26 season, while the Crimson Hawks are 3-0.

It was a fast offensive start for both teams, as IUP led 13-9 inside of the six-minute mark of the opening quarter. The Crimson Hawks scored the final 14 points of the first period to go on top, 29-13.

At halftime, IUP's lead was 54-35. Junior guard
Lexi Howe led the Eagle offense with 13 points in the first 20 minutes.

Through three quarters, Ashland trailed 67-51.

WRAPPING IT UP
- Sophomore guard Corri Vermilya came off the bench for a career-high 21 points, and Howe (17) and graduate guard Jenna Badali (12) also scored in double figures.
- Another sophomore, point guard Ashley Mullet, added eight points and eight assists.
