The Ashland University men's basketball team began the 2025-26 season on Friday (Nov. 14) night with a 74-55 loss to Grand Valley State at Owens Community College in Perrysburg, Ohio.
Ashland trailed 10-2 early, and at a timeout inside of the 11-minute mark, the Lakers' lead was 18-6.
Grand Valley took a 38-22 advantage into halftime, as junior wing
Cooper Davis posted 12 points.
The Eagles could only get their deficit down to 14 points during the second half.
