It wasn't an eighth consecutive win, but for the No. 14-ranked Ashland University women's soccer team, it was enough to maintain its spot in first place in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

On Saturday (Oct. 11) night in Cedarville, the Eagles and No. RV Yellow Jackets tied 1-1 – keeping Ashland alone in first place in the league at 8-2-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the Great Midwest. Cedarville is 7-1-3, 5-0-2.

Ashland has 19 points in G-MAC games this season, followed by second-place Cedarville (17), third-place Findlay (16) and fourth-place Lake Erie (15).
