The Ashland University men's soccer team lost a 3-0 decision to No. 10-ranked Cedarville on the road on Saturday (Oct. 11) night, moving the Eagles to 3-7-1 overall and 2-6 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference in 2025.
In the ninth minute, Cedarville (8-0-3, 6-0-1) took the lead when Michael Catanzarite scored an unassisted goal. The Yellow Jackets extended their advantage to 2-0 in the 62
nd minute, as Kale Howell scored on assists from Kirk Wilson and Eddie Merck.
Finally, in the 76
th minute, Matthew Leo provided Cedarville the final margin of victory on a Jackson Baker helper.
WRAPPING IT UP
- For a third consecutive Eagle loss, the team statistics belie the final score. Ashland has been outscored 8-1 in that span, but has led in both corner kicks (22-2) and shots (38-26) at the same time.
