It was Youth Day/Camper Day/Team Signing/Alumni Day/Family Day for Ashland University's volleyball team on Saturday (Sept. 28) night at the Sherrill Hudson Court at Kates Gymnasium, and all the groups on hand were treated to a 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-14) Eagles win over Lake Erie.

Ashland improves to 8-4 overall and 2-1 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, and is tied with Walsh atop the East Division early-season standings. The Storm is 2-10, 0-4.

The Eagle defense kept Lake Erie to a team hitting percentage of .137 – the fifth time Ashland has stymied a team to that percentage or less in 2024.

A TRIO WITH DOUBLE-DIGIT KILLS…AND THE REST OF THE STORY
- Freshman outside hitter Sara Krizsa paced all players on Saturday with a dozen kills, while senior right-side hitter GraceAnn Hartman and sophomore middle hitter Ravin Morgan each added 10.
- Sophomore setter Kylee Urban recorded 36 assists, and on defense, sophomore libero Abbey Queen had a team-high 13 digs.
- The Eagles hit .286 for the match, including .500 in the third and final set.
- Ashland is 18-1 all-time vs. Lake Erie.
