Needing to take the fourth and fifth sets on Friday (Oct. 4) night at Malone, Ashland University's volleyball team did just that, winning 3-2 (25-18, 23-25, 20-25, 25-20, 15-7) against the Pioneers.

The Eagles, thanks to an eighth consecutive victory in the series, move to 9-4 overall and 3-1 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. Malone is 4-10, 2-3. Ashland remains tied for first place in the East Division.

- The Eagles kept the Pioneers to a .068 hitting percentage – the second-lowest allowed by AU in 2024.
- Sophomore libero Abbey Queen led all players with 31 digs, while Young added 19 digs and five service aces (both career highs), and junior defensive specialist Macy McNamara picked up 13 digs.Â
