Sophomore pitcher
Delaney Lis earned her first collegiate complete-game shutout, twirling a four-hitter in Ashland University softball's 2-0 win over Minnesota Crookston in Florida on Tuesday (March 5) afternoon.
The Eagles (5-8) split the day, losing 4-3 in eight innings to Southern New Hampshire earlier on Tuesday.
Lis (2-3) struck out two and didn't walk a batter in Ashland's first shutout of 2024, and lowered her season earned-run average from 6.26 to 4.32.

Lily Rockwell delivered back-to-back RBIs. Maynard was 2-for-3 in the victory.
POST-GAME NUGGETS
- Against SNHU, Maynard was 2-for-4 with a double, inside-the-park home run, a run scored and two RBIs.
- Freshman pitcher Madison Milligan (1-1) took the loss after allowing six hits, three runs (two earned) and three walks and striking out two in four innings of relief.
