Rachel Crumbacher (five goals, three assists) and freshman attacker
Ashley Drexler (three goals, five assists) each tallied a team-high and season-high eight points.
"We are happy with how our attack played, how our defense played," said Ashland head coach
Lauren Simko. "Fifteen goals on 18 assists is pretty good. Just a super good way for us to start G-MAC play."
POST-GAME NUGGETS
- Sophomore midfielder Ashley Fisher ended with three goals and three assists for six points.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Maria Mancuso (4-4) played the first half and stopped all eight shots on goal.
- "We've got to play well on both sides of the ball," Simko said. "Defensive stops win games, but if we can't score goals, we don't have much going for us on that end. The attackers have been scoring and assisting."
- Ashland had a 26-24 shots advantage on Thursday night.
