The Eagles hit 58.3 percent from the field in the game's first 20 minutes, and senior center
Victor Searls scored 11 points. The Chargers, however, stayed in the game thanks to nine points off seven AU turnovers.
Hillsdale scored the last five points of the first half, then the first three of the second half, to go up for the first time at 34-31. Ashland led 37-36 early in the second half, but the Chargers regained the advantage and never lost it for the remainder of the game.
