Going into the 2024 Midwest Region Crossover, Ashland University's volleyball team is alone in first place in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference's East Division following a 3-0 (27-25, 25-18, 29-27) win at Walsh on Saturday (Oct. 12) afternoon.

The Eagles' third straight 3-0 victory and fifth in a row overall moves them to 12-4 overall and 6-1 in the Great Midwest, while the Cavaliers' seven-match win streak ends, and they are 11-6, 5-2.

Ashland's offense, which ended the day with a .328 hitting percentage, was paced by freshman outside hitter
Sara Krisza, who had a team-high 16 kills and a .382 percentage. Sophomore setter
Kylee Urban ended with 44 assists, three kills, two service aces and seven digs.

- Sophomore libero Abbey Queen had 13 digs, and junior defensive specialist Macy McNamara 11, to pace AU's defensive effort.
- Saturday's match featured 23 tie scores and 10 lead changes.
- Ashland's 12-4 start equals the team's beginning through 16 matches in 2023.
