Volleyball Loses Twice To Open Midwest Crossover

On Friday (Oct. 18) at the Midwest Region Crossover, Ashland University's volleyball team lost 3-0 (26-24, 25-18, 25-22) to No. 11-ranked Missouri-St. Louis and 3-1 (25-18, 25-21, 25-27, 25-22) to former conference rival Wayne State.
 
The Eagles (12-6) played the nationally-ranked Tritons to 26 tie scores and eight lead changes. In the match against the Warriors, there were 38 tie scores and 14 lead changes.

  • Against UMSL, sophomore middle hitter Ravin Morgan finished with 11 kills, a .423 hitting percentage and six block assists.
  • Senior right-side hitter GraceAnn Hartman added 10 kills, sophomore setter Kylee Urban recorded 28 assists and nine digs, and sophomore libero Abbey Queen finished with a dozen digs.
  • In the match with Wayne State, Hartman hit .429 and had 20 kills, freshman outside hitter Sara Krizsa added 15 kills, Urban ended with 45 assists and nine digs, and Queen led the defense with 20 digs.
