Ashland University's volleyball team continues to distance itself from the rest of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference's South Division, as, on Saturday (Sept. 30) afternoon, the Eagles rallied to defeat Cedarville on the road, 3-1 (18-25, 25-23, 25-12, 25-20).

The Eagles, winners of six of their last seven matches and four in a row, are 12-4 overall and 6-1 in the league. The Yellow Jackets are 8-7, 3-4.

Ashland stands two matches ahead of second-place Tiffin in the South Division, 2½ matches head of third-place Ohio Dominican, and three matches ahead of fourth-place Cedarville.

NOTABLES
- Three Eagles finished with double-digit kills in the victory – junior outside hitter Makenna Belcher (13), freshman outside hitter Henlie Krause (11), and sophomore outside hitter Tristen Gierhart (10).
- Senior libero Katie Thompson (24), Belcher (11) and freshman setter Kylee Urban (11) each ended with double-digit digs. Urban also picked up 28 assists, while junior middle blocker Bailey Ruth had nine kills, a .316 hitting percentage and eight block assists.
- Saturday afternoon's match had 18 tie scores and three lead changes.
- Ashland is 12-2 all-time against Cedarville.
