The first trip to Crestview Hills, Ky., for Ashland University's volleyball team was a successful one, as the Eagles took a 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-20) decision from Thomas More on Friday (Sept. 29) night.

Ashland, continuing to lead the Great Midwest Athletic Conference's South Division, improves to 11-4 overall and 5-1 in the league following its fifth win in the last six outings.

NOTABLES
- For the 10th time this season and the sixth match in a row, junior outside hitter Makenna Belcher recorded a double-double – finishing with 11 kills and 14 digs, as well as a .333 hitting percentage.
- Senior libero Katie Thompson ended with 23 digs in only three sets, while freshman Kylee Urban (15 assists) and junior Georgi Moody (14 assists) once again shared AU setting duties.
- Ashland's .262 hitting percentage against the Saints was its third-highest of the season, and Thomas More's .090 hitting percentage was the lowest allowed by the Eagles so far this fall.
- Friday night's victory was Ashland's fifth 3-0 win of 2023.
