Trailing 2-1 on Tuesday (Sept. 26) night at Ohio Dominican, Ashland University's volleyball team took the final two sets for a 3-2 (25-22, 22-25, 13-25, 25-12, 15-12) Great Midwest Athletic Conference victory.

The Eagles improve to 10-4 overall and 4-1 in the Great Midwest, while the Panthers are 5-7, 2-4. Ashland continues to lead the conference's South Division, and will by one match over the winner of Tuesday night's Cedarville-Tiffin contest.

This was Ashland's sixth five-set match of the season, and the Eagles are 4-2 in those contests.

NOTABLES
- Senior libero Katie Thompson, the reigning Great Midwest South Division Defensive Athlete of the Week, led Ashland's defensive effort with a season-high-tying 28 digs, and freshman outside hitter Henlie Krause (18) and junior outside hitter Makenna Belcher (11) each added double-digit digs.
- Belcher, the reigning conference division Offensive Athlete of the Week, recorded a team-high 14 kills, and junior middle blocker Bailey Ruth added 11 kills, a .526 hitting percentage and five total blocks.
- The Eagles again employed two setters, with freshman Kylee Urban (26 assists) and junior Georgi Moody (15 assists) doing the duties.
- Ashland is 14-1 all-time against ODU, and has won the last seven matches in the series.
