Volleyball Loses 3-0 At Home Against Golden Knights

In the last match of the 2023 non-conference slate to begin the season, Ashland University's volleyball team lost 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-17) to Gannon at the Sherrill Hudson Court at Kates Gymnasium on Wednesday (Sept. 13) night.
 
The Eagles are 6-3, and the Golden Knights are 6-2.
 
Wednesday night was the first meeting between the two teams since 2015, and the loss snapped Ashland's nine-match winning streak in the series.
 
NOTABLES

• Junior outside hitter Makenna Belcher had a team-high 10 kills, while senior libero Katie Thompson paced the defense with 14 digs.
• Splitting the setting chores again for the Eagles were freshman Kylee Urban (12 assists) and junior Georgi Moody (10 assists).
