Women’s Lacrosse Loses At Nationally-Ranked Lynn

Box Score In the second of three games in Florida over Spring Break, Ashland University's women's lacrosse team lost 15-8 to No. 14-ranked Lynn on Wednesday (March 8).
 
The Eagles are 2-2, and the Fighting Knights are 6-1.
 
Ashland trailed 7-3 at halftime before Lynn outscored the Eagles 6-1 in the third quarter. Four consecutive AU goals in the fourth quarter were a highlight, as senior midfielder Natalie Sonntag scored two of those.
 
NOTABLES
  • Sonntag ended with four goals on Wednesday, while freshman attacker Rachel Crumbacher collected two goals and four assists. Senior attacker Cassady Becker finished with two goals and an assist, and sophomore attacker Camryn English picked up an assist.
  • Senior goalkeeper Jillian Rekulak made six saves in 43 minutes of work.
  • Lynn out-shot Ashland 28-18.

The Eagles will play on Friday (March 10) at 6 p.m. at Palm Beach Atlantic (1-1) to end their Florida trip.
