Ashland University's baseball team scored five runs in innings 6-8 on Wednesday (March 8) night in Florida, but ultimately lost to Seton Hill, 9-7.
The Eagles are 7-2, and the Griffins are 6-4.
Trailing 6-2 going into the bottom of the sixth, Ashland scored once in that frame on a solo home run from sophomore shortstop
Jeremiah Cangelosi. Three more runs in the bottom of the seventh – RBI singles by sophomore first baseman
Sam Witt and sophomore third baseman
Cam Scott and an RBI ground-rule double from sophomore designated hitter
Ben Peltz – knotted the game at 6.
Seton Hill scored twice in the top of the eighth to re-take the lead, and didn't relinquish it.
