Ashland University's softball team lost two games on Tuesday (March 7) in Florida, falling 7-6 in 11 innings to Seton Hill and 9-1 in five innings to Bemidji State.

The extra-inning affair against the Griffins was set up by an RBI triple from senior center fielder
Lauren McMillin in the bottom of the sixth. With the ghost runner at second base to start the eighth inning, each team traded runs in innings 8-10 before Seton Hill scored in the 11
th and kept the Eagles (2-12) off the scoreboard in the bottom of the frame.

NOTABLES
- McMillin was 2-for-4 with two triples, three RBIs and a run scored against Seton Hill, and freshman Danielle Robbins was 3-for-5.
- Senior pitcher Josie Duncan (1-3) threw all 11 innings for Ashland against the Griffins, giving up 12 hits, seven runs (two earned) and a walk and striking out four.
- Against Bemidji State, senior center fielder Kaitlyn Carney went 2-for-2. Sophomore pitcher Cassidy Shaffer (0-3) went the first three innings, allowing four hits, three runs (all unearned) and no walks and striking out one.
