Ashland University's women's lacrosse team opened 2023 Great Midwest Athletic Conference play on Sunday (March 26) afternoon at Ferguson Field against Walsh, losing 16-4 after being outscored 11-0 in the second half.

The Eagles are 4-6 overall and 0-1 in the Great Midwest, and the Cavaliers are 7-2, 1-0.

- Senior goalkeeper Jillian Rekulak made nine saves on Sunday. Senior midfielder Natalie Sonntag scored two goals, and senior attacker Cassady Becker assisted on a pair of goals.
- Walsh out-shot Ashland, 36-18. The Eagles had 16 turnovers to the Cavaliers' eight.
