Ashland University's women's lacrosse team earned its first Great Midwest Athletic Conference victory of 2023, 16-9, on Sunday (April 2) afternoon at Lake Erie.
The Eagles, thanks to their third win in the last four games, improve to 5-6 overall and 1-1 in the Great Midwest, while the Storm are 3-7, 0-4.
Ashland dominated in the first two quarters, taking a 13-2 lead into halftime.
NOTABLES
- Sophomore attacker Camryn English paced AU's offense with three goals and three assists for six points, and fifth-year attacker Isabelle Pisani added a goal and two assists for three points.
- Eleven different Eagles scored at least one goal on Sunday, and five had at least one assist.
- Ashland out-shot the Storm, 25-19, and had a decided advantage in draw controls, 21-6.
