The 2023 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Awards were released on Tuesday (March 21) afternoon, and Ashland University fifth-year thrower
Carrol Pauley has been recognized as the league's Women's Field Athlete of the Year.
At the 2023 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, Pauley earned her fourth All-American award in the women's weight throw, placing seventh nationally at 18.69 meters/61-feet-4. She won the 2023 Great Midwest title at the Niss Athletic Center in the women's weight throw with a top mark of 19.14 meters/62-feet-10.
Pauley is Ashland's first conference Women's Field Athlete of the Year since
Lindsay Baker in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in 2019.
