Eagle Men Start Spring With Narrow Loss To West Liberty

Ashland University's men's tennis team began the 2023 spring championship season on Saturday (Feb. 4) with a 4-3 loss to West Liberty in nearby Wooster.
 
The Eagles are 2-1 in 2022-23, and the Hilltoppers are 1-1.
 
WHAT HAPPENED

• Ashland took the doubles point thanks to wins from freshman Tomas Paskauskas and sophomore William Rassat at No. 1, and sophomore Fabian Bussard and freshman Rodrigo Moura Ludgero at No. 2.
• The Eagles' two singles victories came courtesy of Rassat at No. 1 and Ludgero at No. 4.
