Ashland University's volleyball team extended its season-best winning streak to six matches on Friday (Oct. 6) night, as the Eagles defeated Ursuline, 3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-10) at the Sherrill Hudson Court at Kates Gymnasium.

The Eagles are 14-4 overall and 8-1 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, and continue to lead the South Division as the Midwest Region Crossover approaches. The Arrows are 11-6, 1-7.

NOTABLES
- Ashland hit .329 on Friday night, its second-best output of the season. Junior outside hitter Makenna Belcher led the Eagle offense with 14 kills and a .355 hitting percentage, and freshman setter Kylee Urban finished with 18 assists and five service aces.
- Defensively, senior libero Katie Thompson led the way with 14 digs, while junior middle blocker Bailey Ruth chipped in with four block assists, along with six kills and a .667 hitting percentage.
- Ashland allowed the Arrows to hit -.110 – the lowest an Eagle opponent has hit since Sept. 11, 2002 against Central State (-.333).
- All proceeds from ticket sales on Friday night went to the Bre McKean Memorial Fund. McKean, a Mapleton High School volleyball player, passed away on Sept. 29.
