On Saturday (Oct. 28) at Ferguson Field, the No. 2-ranked Ashland University women's soccer team played to a nil-nil draw against Findlay in the next-to-last regular-season game of 2023.

The Eagles move to 14-0-3 overall and 10-0-3 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, while the Oilers move to 9-4-4, 9-2-2.

With the 2023 Great Midwest Tournament approaching, Northwood has clinched the regular-season title and home field throughout as long as it wins, while Ashland has clinched the No. 2 spot in the league.

- Junior goalkeeper Maddie Dolenga earned her second clean sheet of the season and of this week after making six saves on Saturday. She is 1-0-2 with a 0.30 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage in five games (three starts) this fall, and the Eagles have 13 shutouts as a team this season.
- Findlay out-shot Ashland, 15-5, and had a narrow 5-4 edge in corner kicks.
