Two goals in the first 10 minutes of Tuesday (Oct. 17) afternoon's game at Northwood was enough for the No. 1-ranked Ashland University women's soccer team, as a 2-0 victory moved the Eagles into a tie for first place with the Timberwolves atop the Great Midwest Athletic Conference table.
Â
Ashland moves to 13-0-1 overall and 9-0-1 in the Great Midwest following its eighth consecutive win and fourth straight clean sheet. Northwood is 10-3-2, 9-1-1, after its six-game winning streak was snapped.
Â
The Eagles continue to be on the program's best start to a season in 22 years (also 13-0-1 through 14 games in 2001).
