th innings to take an 8-6 decision at Malone on Thursday (April 7).

The Eagles improve to 16-9 overall and 9-4 in the league after their fifth consecutive victory, while the Pioneers are 12-16, 3-8.

WHAT HAPPENED
- In the top of the 13th inning, after a single from senior catcher Seth Schroeder and a double by first baseman Logan Moss, senior shortstop Austin Eifrid's two-run single provided the final margin of victory.
- Senior right-hander Jacob Harsany (4-1), in his first relief appearance this spring, went 3 1/3 scoreless innings to earn the win. He allowed three hits and a walk, and struck out two.
- Ashland's top performers in the 11-hit attack were senior second baseman Tim Zeller (3-for-7, double, home run, three RBIs), Schroeder (2-for-5, double, two RBIs) and Eifrid (2-for-7, two RBI). For Zeller, the homer was his fourth of the season, and he is hitting .400 in 2022.
