Eagle Men’s Tennis Tops Davis & Elkins On Spring Trip

On Sunday (March 6) afternoon on Hilton Head Island, S.C., Ashland University's men's tennis team improved to 3-5 in 2021-22 with a 4-3 win over Davis & Elkins (0-1).
 
WHAT HAPPENED

• Ashland split the six singles matches with Davis & Elkins, and won the all-important doubles point by taking two of those three contests.
• In singles, Eagle victories were earned by freshman William Rassat at No. 2 (7-5, 6-2), freshman Fabian Bussard at No. 5 (4-6, 7-5, 15-13), and sophomore Omar Prince at No. 6 (6-4, 6-3).
• Ashland doubles wins came from seniors Stuart Brdicka and Jordan Phelps at No. 1 (7-6 (7-3)), and Rassat and senior Tche Kun Teng at No. 2 (6-1).
