Playing for the first time in eight days on Tuesday (March 29), Ashland University's softball team lost both ends of a doubleheader at Tiffin, 4-1 and 11-0 in five innings.

The Eagles are 6-9 overall and 0-2 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, while the Dragons are 13-15, 2-0.

WHAT HAPPENED
- In the opener, Tiffin scored single runs in the bottom of the first and third innings, then two in the bottom of the fifth. Ashland's run came in the top of the seventh on an RBI single by freshman first baseman Lily Rockwell.
- Junior pitcher Josie Duncan (5-7) allowed seven hits, four runs and seven walks and struck out three in six innings.
- Game 2 saw Tiffin score five runs each in the bottom of the second and fourth innings. Senior pitcher Hannah Fricke yielded 10 hits, 11 runs (10 earned) and six walks and struck out two in four innings.
