On a cold and snowy day in North Canton, Ohio, Ashland University's women's lacrosse team lost 16-5 to Walsh in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference contest on Sunday (March 27) afternoon.
The Eagles are 2-6 overall and 1-1 in the league, while the Cavaliers are 3-4, 1-0.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Ashland goals were scored by junior midfielder Natalie Sonntag and senior midfielder Cora Wilson (two each), and junior midfielder Cassady Becker (one).
- Sophomore goalkeeper Jillian Rekulak made seven saves in net.
- Walsh had a 28-22 shots advantage, and the Eagles had 17 turnovers to the Cavaliers' 13.
