For the fourth consecutive week, Ashland University's football team is slotted as the No. 6 team in the country in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) NCAA Division II Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

As announced by the AFCA on Monday (Oct. 24) afternoon, the Eagles continue to be at No. 6, as they have been for the entire month of October. Ashland is 7-0 overall and 5-0 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, leading the league by itself going to Hillsdale (4-4, 3-3) on Saturday (Oct. 29) at 1 p.m. in the renewal of the Traveling Trophy Game.

The Eagles are one of 11 football teams still undefeated in NCAA Division II, and the 2022 edition joins the following five Ashland teams to start a season at 7-0 – 1954, 1972, 1991, 2012 and 2015.

This is the eighth consecutive week that the Eagles are the only Great Midwest representative in the AFCA Top 25.
