On Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 1-2), Ashland University's men's and women's tennis teams concluded hosting and playing in the Ashland University Doubles Invitational at the Deborah Liebert Karl Tennis Complex and Brookside Park.

WHAT HAPPENED
- On the women's side, Ashland's B Flight team of freshman Anna Corbel and sophomore Claudia Adcock went 3-2 on Saturday and Sunday, winning 8-3 on Saturday and 8-4 and 8-1 on Sunday.
- In the D Flight, sophomore Josie Gorges and freshman Alley Stoehr were 1-3 in their final matches, winning 8-4 on Saturday. In the A Flight, freshman Ana Penteado and sophomore Kortney Reed were 0-6 on Saturday and Sunday, their last match finishing 9-8 (10).
- Ashland's men saw freshman William Rassat win twice in the A Flight on Sunday – 8-2 with sophomore Omar Prince and 8-5 with sophomore Fabian Bussard. Rassat and freshman Tomas Paskauskas was 0-3 in the A Flight on Saturday and Sunday.
- In the D Flight, freshmen Gabriel Seminario and Benedikt Weinboerner were 2-1, winning 9-7 and 8-3, and Seminario and freshman Reid Opel won, 8-0.
- Opel and Bussard were 1-1 in the C Flight on Saturday and Sunday, and Opel and Weinboerner were 0-2. In the B Flight, Bussard and Prince combined to go 1-2, winning 8-5 on Saturday.

UP NEXT
Ashland's women will take on Ohio Wesleyan on Oct. 9 at 1 p.m. in Mason, Ohio, and both Eagle squads will finish the fall on Oct. 14-15 at the Shawnee State Invitational.
