Emily Mark's second-half goal erased a 1-0 deficit and resulted in a 1-1 tie at Ohio Dominican on Thursday (Sept. 23) night.
The Eagles are 3-1-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, while the Panthers are 0-4-2, 0-1-2.
WHAT HAPPENED
- In the 26th minute, Panther Alex Garver scored on an assist from Callan Myers to put ODU ahead 1-0. The goal snapped Ashland junior goalkeeper Bri Rogers' scoreless streak to begin the season at 323:10.
- Ashland out-shot Ohio Dominican 6-2 in the first 45 minutes, and had both of the half's corner kicks.
- The Eagles knotted the game at 1 in the 52nd minute when Mark potted her first goal of the fall, unassisted.
- Rogers made four saves, and her season goals-against average stands at a sparkling 0.22.
- Ashland out-shot the Panthers 23-8, including 12-2 in the second half. The Eagles took eight of the game's nine corner kicks.
