The Ashland University lacrosse team suffered a 19-5 defeat on Friday (April 9) night at host Northern Michigan in Marquette.
The Wildcats (5-3, 3-0 GLIAC) scored the first six goals of the game before freshman
Madie Gash broke through for the Eagles (1-7, 0-5 GLIAC) with 18:44 to play in the first half.

Cassady Becker scored off a Gash assist with 9:10 left in the half and sophomore
Natalie Sonntag scored the final goal of the half on an assist from junior
Kristen Ogle.

Emily Jewell provided Ashland's two second-half goals.
Katelyn Mongold and Jessica Daniels had four goals apiece for Northern Michigan.

Jillian Rekulak made seven saves for the Eagles.
The Eagles and Wildcats will play again on Sunday (April 11) at 9 a.m. at the Superior Dome.
