The Ashland University lacrosse team scored three straight goals midway through the first half to make it a 6-4 game, but visiting Findlay scored the next six goals to take a 12-4 lead into halftime. The Oilers went on to a 19-8 win on Thursday (April 15) night at Ferguson Field.
The Eagles (1-9) scored their first goal five minutes into the game as sophomore
Cora Wilson found the back of the cage to cut the margin to 2-1.
Findlay (3-5) then took a 6-1 lead with four straight goals before sophomore

Cassady Becker scored consecutively as the Eagles made it 6-4 with 11:57 left in the first half.
After that, the Oilers were able to take command of the game, scoring two straight goals in man-up opportunities.
Sonntag scored three goals in the second half and Wilson added her second, but the Oilers were able to close it out for the win.
Findlay had a 36-31 edge in shots while Ashland led in draw controls, 17-11. The Eagles committed 18 turnovers against just 13 for UF.
Freshman goalie
Jillian Rekulak had eight saves for the Eagles while Rachel Bornstein stopped 13 shots for the visitors.
The Eagles are back in action on Sunday (April 18) when they travel to Ursuline for a 4 p.m. start.
