The Ashland University lacrosse team lost its first road game of the season, 23-11, on Tuesday (March 16) night at nonconference foe Walsh.
The Eagles (1-1), coming off an impressive win over Concordia Ann Arbor on Saturday, fell into an early deficit and could not climb out of it.

Cassady Becker opened Ashland's account with 11:36 remaining in the first half. Sophomore
Natalie Sonntag then scored Ashland's next two goals, but it was 11-3 at that point.

Madie Gash scored AU's final three goals of the half, but the Eagles trailed at the break, 14-6.
Sonntag added another five seconds into the second half, but the Cavaliers put the game away by scoring the next six. Ogle scored her second goal later in the half and senior
Sofia Michael added three second-half goals to her tally, which is now 10 on the season.
Hannah McFeeters led the Cavaliers with five goals in the game.
Freshman
Jillian Rekulak had four saves for the Eagles while Kathleen Mendenhall had six for Walsh.
This was Ashland's final tune-up before GLIAC play begins on Friday (March 19) at 7 p.m. ET at Concordia St. Paul.
