The annual Ashland University men's soccer team's October hot streak continues.
On Saturday (Oct. 9) afternoon at Kentucky Wesleyan, the Eagles earned their third consecutive victory with a 9-1 rout of the Panthers. AU is 3-4-3 overall and 3-2-2 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, while KWC is 1-7-0, 1-6-0.
The nine goals are the most in a single game since the Eagles returned to the pitch in 2016.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Senior forward Haruki Kimura scored four goals on Saturday, giving him five on the season. His tallies came in the 41st, 48th, 58th and 64th minute.
- Also potting goals for AU were senior defender/midfielder George Brown in the 13th minute, senior forward Kieran Paterson in the 23rd and 35th minutes, senior forward Brandon Davidson in the 78th minute, and junior midfielder Hunter Johnson in the 85th minute.
- Eagle assists went to Brown (two), senior forward Justin Libertowski, sophomore midfielder Rafael Pereira, senior midfielder Josh Neal and senior midfielder Seth Cain.
- Ashland outshot Kentucky Wesleyan, 31-10. Freshman goalkeeper Ty Bowden made his collegiate debut and earned the victory with two saves.

Ashland and Kentucky Wesleyan will hook up once again on Thursday (Oct. 14) at 4 p.m. at Ferguson Field.
