For the first time, Ashland University's volleyball team has lost a Great Midwest Athletic Conference match, as the Eagles fell on Friday (Oct. 8) night at Walsh, 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-21).

Ashland is 8-9 overall and 7-1 in the Great Midwest, continuing to pace the South Division. The Cavaliers are 9-6, 5-3.

WHAT HAPPENED
- Senior outside hitter Erin Krupar had a double-double on Friday night, finishing with 17 kills and 10 digs. Senior libero Sophie Dahn ended with a team-high 16 digs, junior defensive specialist Stephanie Smith added 10 digs, and senior setter Zoey Peck added 14 assists.
- Despite all three sets being close on the scoreboard, Walsh's .204 hitting percentage out-paced AU's .114. The Cavaliers won despite having 12 service errors to none for the Eagles.
