At Ferguson Field on Thursday (Oct. 21) night, Ashland University's men's soccer team lost a 2-0 decision to Lake Erie.
The Eagles are 4-6-3 overall and 4-4-2 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, while the league-leading Storm are 9-3-1, 8-2-0.
WHAT HAPPENED
- In the 12th minute, Lake Erie took a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick goal by Ayden Von Essen. The PK came following a hand ball in the box.
- The Storm made it 2-0 in the 66th minute on goal off a corner kick. Fabian Kiessetz scored off the pass from Inigo Jimenez Garcia.
- Ashland had a 13-10 advantage in shots. Freshman goalkeeper Ty Bowden made four saves in the defeat.

Ashland will stay at home to take on Findlay (6-6-1, 5-4-1) on Saturday (Oct. 23) at 4 p.m.
