Box Score Tuesday night the Ashland Eagles fell from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 2-1 loss against the Cedarville Yellow Jackets. The loss puts AU at 3-1-0 on the season.
The Eagles lone goal came by way of freshman forward Carson Janssen. Janssen tallied the first goal of her AU career in the 73rd minute of the game. Krista Lewis crossed the ball six yards out to set Janssen up for the goal. That goal pulled the Eagles to within one, but the deficit remained one for the final 17 minutes.
Cedarville outshot Ashland by a 16-12 margin.
The Yellow Jackets improve their record to 3-1-0.
The Eagles return to the field on Sunday at home against Ohio Dominican. The game will get underway at 1 pm.
