Eagles Keep Playoff Hopes Alive

The AU women's soccer team ended the regular season Saturday night (Oct. 27) with a 1-0 victory at Ohio Dominican. The victory gives the Eagles a 3-0-1 record in their last four games.  AU still has a chance to qualify for the eight-team GLIAC Tournament, which opens next week.

The margin of victory in this contest was provided by freshman Alexandra Kovarik (Medina, Ohio). She scored the only goal of the night at 68:34. 

Ashland had a 12-10 edge in shots and led in corner kicks, 3-1.  Junior keeper Rebecca Plescia (Parma, Ohio/Padua) had three saves.

Ashland is 8-10-1, 7-6-1 in the GLIAC. The Panthers are 10-6-3, 6-5-3 in the GLIAC.
