Friday (Sept. 16) in Columbus, Ohio, the Eagles saw their three-game unbeaten streak end thanks to a 2-0 loss to Ohio Dominican. Ashland is 2-3-1, 2-1-1 in GLIAC action. On the road, AU is 0-3 and has scored one goal.
It didn't take long for ODU (1-3-1/1-1-1) to put the Eagles in a hole. At the 1:09 mark, Megan Augusta scored her second goal of the season. Sierra Patterson earned her first of two assists in the game.
The second score by the home team came at 71:57 when Jennifer Holton scored from seven yards out.
The Panthers led in shots, 13-8. Of AU's eight shots, five were on goal. The shutout went to Laura Clark, who played the entire 90 minutes in goal.
The Eagles will play at Walsh on Sunday (Sept. 18, 4 p.m.).
