#9 Carly Clark * P/1B * SO * R/R * Strasburg, Ohio

At Ashland: In 2012, Clark is expected to see most of her time as a position player. The Eagles like her power potential and will give her work at first base.  A year ago, much of Clark’s playing time came as a pitcher.  She was AU’s third pitcher and excelled in that role, going 4-0.  All of her appearances in the circle came out of the bullpen.

High School: As senior, Clark was named first team All-Ohio, all-conference and all-district.  She was named the conference player of the year.  Clark blasted 36 home runs.  She played on a 2009 team that won a state championship and set the school record for victories (32) and on the 2010 team that was the state runner-up.  Clark also played basketball. She was a first team all-conference and all-district performer and was named special mention all-state.    Clark scored over 1,000 points in her career.  Clark lettered four times each in softball and basketball and lettered twice apiece in golf and volleyball.

Personal: Clark is the daughter of Rick and Marsha Clark. She is an early childhood education major.
