Biography

2010: Hewitt was named a co-captain before his junior season… he enters 2011 third on AU’s all-time assists list (18)… in 2010, he played and started all 21 games for the Eagles on the left wing… Hewitt was named to the All-GLIAC first team and was an All-Midwest Region second team performer… he was second on the team with 16 points… he was third on the team with five goals and tied for the team high with six assists… Hewitt recorded back-to-back three-point games in mid-September, scoring one goal and dishing out one assist in wins at Findlay and Ohio Dominican… against Mount Vernon on Sept. 28, he tallied four points, with one goal and two assists in a 6-0 win… in the GLIAC Tournament semifinal, Hewitt scored two of AU’s five goals in a decisive 5-1 win over Northwood that sent the Eagles to the GLIAC Tournament championship game… he converted one of AU’s shootout penalty kicks in the GLIAC championship game against ODU... Hewitt took 34 shots and was third on the team in minutes played with 1,741.

 2009: Hewitt had much of his sophomore season derailed by injury, playing in eight games (six starts)... he notched an assist in the season-opening 2-0 win at Shippensburg and scored his lone goal of the season in a 2-1 loss to Notre Dame (Ohio) on Sept. 6.

 2008: Hewitt made a name for himself in his first season, scoring four goals and dishing out 10 assists... his 10 assists were the fourth-highest single season total in AU history... his first collegiate goal came against Ohio Dominican on Sept. 22.

 High School: Hailing from Brighton, England, Hewitt earned letters in cross country and soccer during his prep career at Longhill High School... his team finished as the runner up in the Sussex County Cup... Hewitt ran in the South England trials in cross country.

 Personal: He is the son of Teresa Fowler and Steve Hewitt... his father, Steve, was a boxer, ranked ninth in the United Kingdom... Kenny’s brother, Terry-Lee, is in the youth academy for Fulham F.C. in the English premiership.

 Coach Freeman’s Comment: “Kenny is an experienced left midfielder, very dangerous going forward and a great crosser of the ball. He is the team’s captain and emotional leader and will be looked upon for goals and assists."
