2010: McCausland played in 12 games in his junior season, making two starts… playing mostly in the defensive midfield, McCausland was a main anchor for a back line that allowed fewer than five shots on goal per game… he saw time in both games of the GLIAC Tournament, which the Eagles won… McCausland took one shot on the season.

 2009: McCausland played in 15 games (four starts) in his sophomore season, adding depth in the midfield and defense… he scored his first collegiate goal in a 4-0 win at Saginaw Valley on Sept. 27.

 2008: During his freshman season, McCausland played in 14 games on the Eagles’ back line.

 High School: McCausland earned three letters in soccer during his prep career at St. Vincent-St. Mary… he received the coaches’ award, was second team all-league, was MVP and captain of his team… his teams were district champions in 2005 and 2006, recording a 13-3-4 record in 2005… he plays in the Akron Metro Futbol Club during the offseason… McCausland earned one varsity letter in cross country in high school with a personal record of 17:30.

 Personal: Bryan is the son of John and Julie McCausland and has one three brothers and one sister… he was born April 3, 1990.

 Coach Freeman’s Comment: “Bryan is a hard-nosed workhorse, stingy defender and has a tireless work rate in the middle of the park. He is an experienced center mid and works from start to finish. Bryan’s a good defender and disrupts attacks from the midfield.”
