Biography

2013: Shafer pitched in two varsity games. He appeared in five junior varsity games.

High School: At Buckeye Central High School, Shafer holds the single season record for lowest ERA. He also holds career, season and game (18) records for strikeouts and the most complete games in a season and career. Shafer enjoyed success at the plate, he's the program's career and season leader in doubles. Shafer was a three-time all-state pick and he was named the district player of the year in 2011.  While he was with the program the Bucks won three district championships. Shafer lettered four times in baseball and football and once in basketball.

Personal: Shafer is the son of Mark and Teresa Shafer. He is a business management major.
