High School: Burch compiled a career batting average of .442 as a four-year starter at Berlin Highland. He had 127 hits, 28 doubles, 11 triples and two homers. He also pitched and went 12-2 with 89 strikeouts in 71 innings. Burch was a two-time All-Ohio selection in baseball and he was a three-time All-Inter-Valley Conference all-star. Burch collected 10 letters - in addition to the four in baseball he earned three each in soccer and basketball. He is the soccer program's career leader in points (132 points, 45 goals, 42 assists). Burch played on two state championship basketball teams (2011, 2012) and in 2012, Berlin-Highland was a state semi-finalist in baseball. With Burch in the lineup, Berlin-Highland won three conference championships in baseball.

Personal: Burch's parents are Mike and Deb Burch. He is an exercise science major.
