Biography

2014: Walts became one of the top players in both the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and the Midwest Region...Hit a team-high .384 with 38 runs scored, 11 doubles, 29 RBIs and 11 stolen bases...Was second-team Rawlings/ABCA All-Midwest Region and second-team All-GLIAC...Ended the season with a 19-game hitting streak...Had nine games with at least three hits, including a 4-for-6 effort on April 30 at Findlay.

2013: As a sophomore, settled in as the starting shortstop...Was named second-team All-GLIAC and earned a spot on the Midwest Region All-Tournament Team...Tied for third on the team in runs and was fourth on the team in hits...Tied for second on the team in stolen bases...Started 53 games.

2012: Walts saw extended action as a freshman...Played in 46 games and started 40...Tied for second on the team in sacrifice bunts (five).

High School: Walts played at Amherst Steele High School...Was a two-time letter winner.

Personal: The infielder is the son of Todd and Laura Walts. He is a business/sports management major and was named to the 2013 and 2014 GLIAC All-Academic Team.
