Eagle Volleyball Lands AVCA Team Academic Award For Third Year In A Row

As announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Thursday (July 23) afternoon, Ashland University's volleyball team has garnered the AVCA Team Academic Award for the third consecutive year, and the 10^th time overall.
 
One of 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams to earn the citation, Ashland did so by maintaining a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. The Eagles' cumulative team GPA was 3.59 through the fall of 2025, and 3.62 through the spring of 2026.
 
Ashland volleyball finished the 2025 season at 13-14 overall and 8-8 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, playing in the league tournament for a fifth season in a row.
 
The Eagles' 2026 campaign will start on Aug. 28-29 with three matches at Findlay.
